MAGNETIC CLAW (BEAR PAW) MAGNET MODEL 479

The Model 479 is a powerful magnet that gives a positive grip on steel sheets and plates.  Designed primarily for sliding and pull.  Used by U.S. Navy ships to pull their paint punt alongside while doing maintenance on the ship.  Pushing the handle forward on the magnet allows for the easy release.  The weight of this magnet is 8 1/2 pounds with a width of 5 7/8 inches, 6 1/8 Inches in length and 1 1/3 inches high.  The rated pounds of pull is 600 pounds.
